Newly created role! A US law firm requires a Senior Practice Technology Analyst for their rapidly expanding London office. The Senior Practice Technology Analyst will serve as a knowledge ambassador and will be responsible for providing legal teams with technical advice, expertise, and support in connection to practice management technologies.  If you are looking for a blank canvas and to create something from scratch then this role is for you! 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Administer, support and monitor:

          document automation/assembly solutions, 

          contract review and drafting platforms, 

          electronic deal closing applications, 

          applications to manage Funds subscription documents,

          documents extraction solutions to obtain valuable business information

  • Create and customized data / deal rooms utilizing the HighQ platform and provide training and ongoing support
  • Support and assist with coordinating training programs for attorney adoption of practice innovation technologies
  • Champion practice innovation and technology tools
  • Support the Firm’s knowledge resource systems including the intranet, knowledge bank and experience management solution
  • Liaise between the legal teams, vendors and other Firm support teams to ensure support of practice-specific systems
  • Support the Firm’s Document Management System (DMS) and advise on best practices
  • Act as an extension of other groups in the Knowledge Department, including Innovation, KM and Data for localized projects
  • Serve as a resource for the Firm’s Enterprise Search system
  • Assist legal teams with e-discovery / e-disclosure vendors
  • Alert legal teams on issues to consider in connection with cross-border data use and transfer
  • Provide or facilitate end-user training for practice-specific solutions
  • Design training material and prepare systems documentation

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience
  • Ability to anticipate problems, gather information, analyze and make recommendations
  • Build and maintain relationships (and collaborate) with key managers
  • Experience mentoring peers
  • Familiarity with all phases of discovery in litigation
  • Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Work effectively across work groups and assist in the coordination of information and take leadership when appropriate
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Project management skills with ability to multi-task among multiple time-sensitive matters
  • Adapt well to changing priorities
  • Strong vendor engagement and management skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to respond to situations as they arise with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of HighQ and other market leading legal software strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams
  • Strong technical skills and a willingness to learn new technology
  • Power BI design skills preferred
