Senior Knowledge Lawyer - Dispute Resolution - London

An opportunity for a Senior Knowledge Lawyer has become available within highly regarded International law firm that has an UK HQ in central London. This role supports a commercial disputes resolution practice and will work very closely with a Knowledge function that has received considerable recognition from industry peers in recent years. The overarching objective of the role is to develop and cultivate innovative way in which to better serve both clients and fee-earners within the firm.

The principal responsibilities and objectives of the position are as follows:

  • Partner with the CDR Knowledge Team to identify opportunities to improve knowledge or information services and systems
  • Work with the CDR Knowledge team to plan for and identify upcoming challenges and opportunities in the market
  • Forge relationships with stakeholders and teams to understand and manage expectations and increase engagement for knowledge initiatives.
  • Support legal and central teams in the collection and sharing of knowledge, information and best practice
  • Work in tandem with the Business Development team to increase market awareness of our CDR capabilities 
  • Cultivate innovative ways of adding value to existing clients.
  • Maintain and develop the team’s precedents and toolkits
  • Plan and deliver knowledge and information projects and identifying metrics to measure their success
     

To be considered for this role, candidates will require the following experience and skills:

  • Excellent technical knowledge of and familiarity with litigation and/or arbitration and a passion for the practice area. 
  • The ideal candidate will be at least 5 years PQE and offer considerable experience in Knowledge Management  
  • Highly IT literate in legal and business information systems with experience of SharePoint or similar platforms
  • Well versed in legal technology, including document automation (Contract Express), edisclosure platforms and virtual hearing platforms
  • The ability to plan and prioritise work and deliver to tight or changing deadlines
  • A proactive and collaborative team member with a professional, user focussed approach
  • Ability to facilitate, manage and implement change within a complex organisation
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner with lawyers and support staff
