Research and Insight Operations Coordinator - Law - London

An international law firm that has made great strides in terms of revenue, reputation and visibility in the past 2 years has a great opportunity for someone with an interest in research and ideally the area of tech and retail, to join their team in a role where they will have the opportunity to flourish and grow their skills. This role will interact with multiple stakeholders in the firm to support both internal and external facing initiatives that serve to further develop the expertise that the firm offers in both retail and technology. Tasks will include the provision of research and analysis, planning meetings and setting agendas, providing an administrative service and working on multiple small projects. This is a role that would be well suited to someone at the beginning of their career within the business services function of a law firm.

In this role, the key responsibilities and objectives include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing relevant research and insight to help drive client development initiatives
  • Project management and ownership of initiatives including planning meeting agendas, minuting actions from meetings, tracking stakeholder progress
  • Collaborating with the knowledge and business development teams
  • Delivery of operational and administrative service such as reporting and internal communications
  • Drafting communications, including helping with monthly reports incorporating stream and team specific content such as a weekly report on the external retail and consumer market
  • Helping to plan and deliver both internal and external facing events by providing input into content, drafting presentations and supporting adjacent functions
  • Maintaining and updating key information and documentation in systems including the document management system and Intranet

Suitable candidates for this role will require the following experience and skills:

  • Well developed research skills, including the ability to interpret and distil large quantities of information into a digestible format 
  • Highly developed skills in managing, engaging with and coordinating the activities of stakeholders
  • The ability to organise and prioritise tasks and to manage concurrent small projects
  • An intellectually curious and solution focused mindset. Problem solving skills will also be a pre-requisite
  • An interest in technology and consumer/retail topics
  • Ideally, some experience in the legal sector or in a commercial setting
