Research Analyst - Law - Leeds, Bristol or Birmingham
A highly respected national law firm that has recorded year on year growth for the last decade has an opportunity for a Researcher to join at either an Executive or Analyst level. The position can be based out of a number of different locations.
The fundamental objectives in the role focus around the delivery of research in support of Knowledge Management, Information Services and Business Development, and the development of new tools and approaches in support of the research services.
In this Research Analyst role, the primary objectives and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The provision of research services that cover business, sector-specific and legal topics
- Content maintenance for client facing portals
- Working with Research Manager to define a research agenda and horizon scanning
- Supporting in the development of new approaches and products, particularly with a view to supporting strategic initiatives
- Forging close working relationships with key stakeholders and teams such as KM, Research Services and Business Development
- Assuming responsibility for the development and ownership of new research-specific products
- Acting as a subject matter expert for the use of business and legal research resources and databases
- Supporting in the delivery of departmental/practice aligned knowledge plans to support the firms overarching KM strategy
To be a suitable candidate for this Research Analyst role, applicants require the following:
- Previous experience in the provision of business and legal research, preferably gained in a legal or wider professional services environment
- The ability to balance a research workload consisting of project-based and enquiry driven requests
- Some experience providing insight or value-add analysis would be extremely beneficial, particularly for candidates seeking the top-end of the available salary
- Exposure to a wide variety of both business research and legal databases/resources
- A willingness to explore, embrace and evangelise new technologies and products such as generative AI
- Highly developed communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite
