Strategic and operational! One of the world’s most prominent financial services law firms is seeking a Library Resources Manager to lead and oversee their firm-wide library services and research initiatives. If you have a strong background in library management, experience in a law firm setting, and the ability to manage teams and resources effectively, we want to hear from you. The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000.

 Main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with firm personnel, including legal and administrative leadership, practice group leaders, key personnel from individual attorney teams, and members of the administrative staff.
  • Organize a coherent strategy for library resources that works at all levels from firm-wide to individual.
  • Provide strategic and operational direction for the management of library resources and technical services.
  • Manage the library team, including scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Develop training strategies and provide guidance to the library team on creating and maintaining library-related resources.
  • Conduct outreach to attorneys and professional staff to gather feedback and monitor trends in resource usage.
  • Manage login credentials for electronic services within license agreements and copyright restrictions.
  • Collaborate with directors and managers to plan the annual budget and monitor expenses.

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of library experience, preferably within a law firm.
  • Master's Degree in Library Science or JD required.
  • Proven experience in managing teams across multiple offices.
  • A dynamic self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of library systems and workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, EOS, and Bloomberg Terminal is strongly preferred.
