A rapidly growing global management consultancy require a Knowledge Specialist to join the firm’s knowledge management function and with other team members, support the development and execution of the firm’s knowledge management activities.  A core focus of the role will be to oversee the collection, production, dissemination and reuse of knowledge content generated by the business, to oversee the maintenance of databases that ensures their knowledge content is visible, up to date and to support consulting staff tasked with creating knowledge content.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Engaging with consulting staff and senior practice members to recognise work and request most relevant content and information at the appropriate time
  • Policing the collection of quality knowledge content in accordance with their knowledge planning process
  • Coordinating with other team members to categorise cross-practice content priorities and identify openings in the knowledge base
  • Proactively “pushing” the most relevant and useful knowledge content to project teams at the earliest or most suitable opportunity
  • Supporting the training of consultants to increase their self-sufficiency in finding relevant materials from the firm’s knowledge systems and sources
  • Coordinating with the research team to identify reusable research and making sure it is made available to teams that would benefit from it
  • Assisting peers and more senior members of the knowledge function to shape, implement process, and track submissions
  • Using experience and feedback from internal “customers” to refine and create new processes / guidelines
  • Proactively checking for errors, anomalies and gaps in relation to process compliance or submissions
  • Assisting in data collection and manipulation across various initiatives or online tools – Includes helping to ensure best practice reusable knowledge content is contained within our procurement technology platform

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Graduate level
  • Self-starter
  • Familiar with knowledge management processes
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Able to understand the firm’s business and apply context to knowledge related activities
  • Proficient in the use of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and familiar with conferencing software
  • Has an attention to detail and motivation to suggest new ideas and see tasks through to completion
  • Has a proactive and inquisitive approach, and is prepared to challenge
  • Confident communicator, able to provide summary view of complex material succinctly
  • Ability to work in teams, take direction, and work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise own work based on a constantly evolving situation
  • Commitment to success and team delivery
