Knowledge Solutions Analyst - Law - Bristol, Leeds or Birmingham

A highly respected national law firm that has recorded year on year growth for the last decade has an opportunity for a Knowledge Solutions Analyst, the role could be based out of multiple office locations. The core objectives of the role are focused on the ongoing development and adoption of knowledge-centric products and knowledge sharing technology within the firm. The role could suit someone a the beginning of their career in KM or someone that is more established.

In this Knowledge Solutions Analyst role, the core objectives and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing shared resources across all the firms legal functions in conjunction with other KM team members
  • Forging close relationships with senior KM-related stakeholder to identify and deliver on opportunities to improve legal service delivery
  • Engage at a departmental level to establish needs and to ensure that teams have access to relevant KM resources and systems
  • Supporting individual teams and departments knowledge plan in support of the firms overarching KM strategy
  • Act as both a point of contact and a subject matter expert for knowledge related matters 
  • Ownership around HighQ including updates, maintenance and support of team sites, knowledge portals and the knowledge bank
  • Providing a reporting service on products and the design/delivery of training materials
  • Supporting technology adoption and internal promotion of a range of technology tools utilised by the firm

To be a suitable applicant for this role, a mix of the following experience and skills are required:

  • Some previous experience in a legal setting, preferably with an alignment to Knowledge Management or adjacent technologies
  • A demonstrable passion for technology systems in a legal setting and broad understanding of the role of Knowledge Management
  • Exposure to KM related tools and services would be extremely beneficial but not essential - I.e. HighQ or SharePoint
  • The ability to manage a mix of project based work and BAU tasks
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A related qualification in Library or Information Science would be very useful, but is not a pre-requisite
