Global law firm requires a part-time administrator to join their knowledge & information team.
This is a pivotal role within the team, supporting key operational areas which enable the smooth running of the department, and its client focuses service delivery.
It includes:
- Handle new requests and ongoing requirements for resources (hard copy and online serials, journals, books, looseleafs) and order from external suppliers, following procurement procedures. Ensure timely circulation of content
- Help to monitor upcoming book publications and liaise with key stakeholders to confirm if required and within budget
- Manage renewals according to contract terms, request usage statistics, issue renewal surveys to users, and renew as required
- Administer the Starter and Leaver process, including organising tasks for the team, managing the passwords for online systems, and updating circulation lists
- File updates to looseleaf titles as soon as received, and with accuracy
- Assist in the maintenance of hard copy collections in HQ and satellite libraries, including new collection ordering and cataloguing, managing titles on approval process, returns to suppliers and stock takes ▪
- Research support for the team, including obtaining company reports, cases, legislation, articles and working on information in Excel spreadsheets
Requirements:
- Some experience in a relevant LIS related role
- Strong communication skills and an enthusiasm to build effective working relationships
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount
