Head of Business Applications
A highly respected higher education institution that is commutable from West London / Surrey is seeking a Head of Business Applications to manage a number of business critical systems. This role manages a team of three and is responsible for a broad portfolio of applications from finance to estates management (circa 40).
The role manages a number of ongoing projects to develop and enhance applications aligned to HR, MIS, Estate Management and Finance. In addtion to development and enhancement, the role also encompasses managing the support process at the 3rd Line
In order to be suitable you must have experience of:
- Working with the business to ensure optimal configuration of critical applications
- Running business critical applications such as finance systems, estates management, HR systems etc
- Project managing on implementations, upgrades, patching and other change
- Working with a mix of hosted, cloud and on-premise applications
- Managing relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery, value for the organisations end users and awareness of product road maps
- Maintaining up to date technical documentation for systems
- Planning internal and external resource to ensure service delivery responsibility
- Managing rights and security for busines critical applications
- Experience working with Visio
- Explaining complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
