Newly created! Global Head of Knowledge Services. This newly created role will be responsible for managing the firm’s global research and knowledge management functions, along with related technology systems and data/information/expert vendors. The role will involve continuously innovating on the team’s knowledge strategy, evolving and improving the quality and consistency of knowledge products and related services, and implementing the AI transformation in this space, while leading a team of knowledge professionals across different regions and functions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in technology change management and the ability to lead large transformational programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of research strategies, managing knowledge assets, and ensuring the effective use of information across the organization. The role will report to the Chief Knowledge Officer and offers a unique opportunity to share the knowledge services function of a leading management consultancy, driving innovation and change on a global scale.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute the global knowledge and research strategy for the consultancy, aligning it with the firm’s business objectives and client needs.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Knowledge Officer on the long term vision, drawing on global best practices and aligning with the organization's business units.
  • Manage the global research, knowledge management, knowledge technology systems, and knowledge engagement/comms teams, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and user-friendly.
  • Lead large transformational programs, including AI driven transformation and the strategic evolution of knowledge services-related IT systems and portals, driving change and innovation within the knowledge services functions to ensure the firm stays at the forefront of industry development in sharing and applying knowledge and intellectual capital.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of knowledge professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
  • Establish and monitor the institutionalization of knowledge services best practices and quality standards, including evaluating the effectiveness of knowledge tools, processes, and strategies, ensuring they meet the expectations of the internal and external stakeholders,
  • Provide oversight and guidance on reporting, analytics, and insights to support continuous improvement and manage the overall budgets to ensure strategic and economic leverage.
  • Identify and leverage the emerging trends and opportunities in the knowledge domain, such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the senior leadership, the practice areas, the clients, and the external partners, representing the knowledge function and promoting its value proposition.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and other functions/departments to ensure the effective use of knowledge services in decision-making processes.

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing senior research and/or knowledge management functions in a global and complex environment within a management consultancy/will consider professional services firms.
  • Strong background in technology change management and the ability to leverage technology to enhance knowledge management systems and processes.
  • Experience leading large transformational programs, with a track record of driving change and innovation that delivers business impact and client satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse and distributed global team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to align research and knowledge management strategies with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A deep understanding of research methodologies and knowledge management principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of the latest research, knowledge management, and knowledge technology trends, tools, and methodologies.
  • Strategic, analytical, and creative thinking, with the ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as information science, business administration or management.
