Business Researcher – boutique financial services/investment
A prestigious investment firm requires a Business Researcher to join their London based research team. This role provides embedded support to sector focused investment teams across a wide range of industries in conjunction with the rest of the research team.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Responding to research requests with timely and insightful analysis on sectors, markets and companies
- Providing sector and market briefings to investment teams
- Providing research to support origination efforts
- Evaluating and liaising with research suppliers where required
In order to be suitable candidates must have
- At least four years’ experience of business research within investment banking, private equity, investment management, consulting, corporate finance or related industry
- Strong experience providing ‘value added’ research such as sector briefings
- Experience analysing and presenting data from external and internal sources
- Good understanding of research tools such as Mergermarket, Euromonitor, Factiva and similar research tools
- Good academic background
- Proactive and engaging approach to research and supporting internal users
- Excellent attention to detail
