Industry Analyst – 5G Networks / Quantitative Analysis                                

An Industry Analyst with previous experience within telecoms and data modelling skills is required by a global organization that represents the interests of the TMT industry. This is a specialist role in which the successful candidate will be developing models and insight based on complex datasets. The position is aligned to the rollout of 5G networks and the industry challenges/opportunities that will arise. This a business with a outstanding reputation for learning and development opportunities. 

In this role the core objectives and responsibilities of the Industry Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Playing a key role as an Analyst in a programme of work focused around the global rollout of 5G
  • Undertaking a mix of internally defined projects and supporting case studies typically commissioned by the key industry stakeholder including the major telecoms operators
  • 5G research topics to potentially include cost modelling, supply chain, sustainability and energy
  • Creating insightful thought pieces, reports and presenting to industry
  • Utilising unprecedented access to key industry stakeholders to gain insight, build a network and grow an industry analyst profile
  • Leveraging internal analyst expertise

Suitable candidates for this Industry Analyst role will need the following experience and skills:

  • Some existing experience, expertise or knowledge of the telco ecosystem, trends and drivers
  • A distinct interest in developing expertise around 5G networks, or some previous exposure
  • Strong primary and secondary research skills
  • An expert with datasets. This would include advanced MS Excel skills, data modelling and the ability to draw insight
  • Creating outputs such as thought leadership pieces, reports and the ability to present to industry stakeholders
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to build a strong industry analyst profile/brand
  • The role is likely to involve managing concurrent projects and quickly grasping new or unfamiliar concepts. The ability to thrive in roles with steep learning curves and under deadline pressure is essential
