Sales Director

Our client is a highly innovative start up serving the most sophisticated R&D departments in the world from defence to venture capital, FTSE 100 organisations and government.

This is initially an individual contributor sales role that will develop as the company moves forward. As a start up the entire company is responsible for growth so the Sales Director needs to be a collegiate leader.

Leveraging their access to the worlds brightest scientific minds our client delivers insight-based projects and subscriptions to their sophisticated audience on topics such as:

  • Advanced Materials
  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Energy and Power Systems
  • Human-Computer Interfaces
  • Future Aerospace Concepts
  • Nanotechnologies
  • Quantum computing and sensing
  • Robotics
  • Synthetic Biology

The successful candidate must have experience building a pipeline within an unstructured start up environment. There is a huge amount of greenfield territory and all business so far has been based on referrals however you will need to create your own leads.

Required experience:

  • Must have a good enough understanding of at least one deep tech area to converse with customers
  • Strong pipeline building process
  • Experience of working with corporate R&D teams
  • Experience selling consulting or research/market intelligence services
