Research Analyst – Payments and Corporate Banking

A global leader in market intelligence and advisory services aligned to technology has a requirement for a Research Analyst to join their team and be a part of a globally dispersed team of nearly 1000 technology analysts. In this role, the successful candidate will be working on research projects and producing thought leadership pieces around payments and corporate banking, and the trends and emerging technologies in this arena.

In this Research Analyst role, the core responsibilities and objectives include, but are not limited to:

  • Initially working to an established research agenda, and helping shape future agendas
  • Core research topics are likely to include: Corporate banking, digital innovation and capital markets
  • Building a strong network within the firm and leveraging that expertise to create insightful outputs
  • Operating as a thought leader, representing the firm at relevant events and being an SME for client-based engagements
  • Presenting to industry

To be a suitable candidate for this Research Analyst requirement, candidates require the following experience and skills:

  • Previous experience as Research Analyst within a research house, advisory or market intelligence firm
  • Experience aligned to technology in banking such as payments, treasury, lending or capital markets
  • A strong track record of producing insightful reports, content and thought pieces
  • A good understanding of banking technology such as IOT, blockchain, cloud or digital transformation
  • Strong networking, stakeholder management and presenting skills
  • A good grasp of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Ideally, a related degree
