Research Analyst - Law - London
An opportunity for a Research Analyst has become available at a highly respected international law firm. This firm is notable for its increasing influence in the UK, particularly in the M&A space, in which it has advised on several complex and headline making transactions. This role is due to growth, and the need to service increasing internal legal and business research demands from lawyers. The position is one that would suit an information professional that is seeking a research and analysis centric role.
In this Research Analyst role, the key responsibilities and objectives include, but are not limited to:
- The provision of both legal and business research in support of client work and BD
- Utilising business and legal research resources such as Bloomberg, Lexis, Westlaw
- Working with stakeholders within individual practice groups to understand and address their research needs
- Evangelising the Research function and its services within the firm
- The provision of research-centric training to lawyers and new joiners
- Supporting in the evaluation of new research products and platforms
- Assisting in the management of the firms library and KM assets
- Contributing to projects in support of the firms overarching KM strategy
To be a suitable applicant for this Research Analyst role, the following is required:
- Previous experience within a research or information management role in a legal or professional services setting
- Expertise in the use of a range of legal and business related research resources
- An ability to interrogate and summarise information and data from a range of different sources
- Refined relationship building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities
- A Library or Information Management qualification would be extremely desirable
