M&A Transactional Database Specialist

A London based professional services firm has a requirement in their Knowledge Management function for a data focused individual to assume responsibility for the management, support and ongoing development of their M&A specific corporate transactions database.

The primary objectives and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Day to day responsibility for managing a database that is the primary resource for tracking M&A deal terms
  • Undertaking the role of product expert and in-house resource for this corporate transactions database
  • Providing a support function to the relevant Partner and Knowledge associate
  • Designing and development of processes and systems to track M&A deals
  • Undertaking data quality control exercises and seeking opportunities to improve data entry
  • Providing bespoke and regular reporting services, utilizing visualization tools for presentation purposes
  • Providing training to users of the corporate transactions database

To be a suitable candidate for this Transactional Database Specialist role, the following experience and skills are required:

  • Experience in similar role, preferably focused around a corporate transaction database
  • Experience with interrogating and presenting data, and a fundamental knowledge of data analytics
  • Intermediate skills with MS Excel such as pivot tables, v-lookups or macros
  • Experience in a professional services environment. Specific M&A exposure would be a distinct benefit
  • A degree in a related subject
  • Ideally, some experience with Tableau or Sisense
