Knowledge Management Assistant - London - Law Firm

One of the worlds largest and most successful law firms has an outstanding opportunity for someone with a real interest in knowledge management to join their team. This is 12 month contract and would represent an opportunity to build knowledge management skills and expertise in a fast moving, supportive and extremely progressive legal setting. The overarching objective of the position is supporting the KM team by co-ordinating the creation, capture and dissemination of know-how and information across the firm using KM systems and firm-wide enterprise search

The day to day responsibilities and objectives include, but are not limited to:

  • Support, maintain and assisting the development of the KM systems (including search) in partnership with teams that maintain content
  • Assist with firm wide knowledge capture initiatives
  • Collect and analyse statistics for the KM systems, search, legal tech tools and the online research sources 
  • Produce reports to support pricing, supplier contract negotiation and other systems and processes
  • Maintain records of KM system activities, processes and guidance
  • Assist with updates, upgrades, PoCs and pilots for KM systems, Legal Tech and Innovation and K&I
  • Support regular content and regulatory maintenance processes within the KM systems  

To be a suitable candidate for this Knowledge Management Assistant role, the following is required:

  • A demonstrable interest (or experience) in information and knowledge systems and knowledge management
  • Highly developed IT skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • A strong academic record and ideally a related qualification such as a Library or Information Managmement degree/masters degree
  • Highly developed interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Extremely attentive to detail and the ability to remain organised when managing conflicting priorities
  • An intellectually curious mind-set and a logical approach to problem solving
