Knowledge Management Assistant - Jersey - Law

A leading offshore law firm that is headquartered in Jersey has a new requirement for a Knowledge Management Assistant. The overarching objective of the role is to support the global practice by managing knowledge resources and ensuring consistent, high-quality, risk-aware processes across all teams and offices.

This role is a great opportunity for someone that either has some existing legal experience and would be interested in gaining specialist skills in the business services arena of a law firm, or equally someone that has a related qualification and an interest gaining some experience in how law firms operate to ensure that lawyers are able to access the firms internal expertise to serve their clients.

The specific responsibilities and learning opportunities include:

  • Maintaining and developing the global precedent and know-how database, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Curating and updating content on global knowledge platforms.
  • Applying in-house styles to knowledge documents and support its adoption across the global practice.
  • Providing a current-awareness service via the Vable platform.
  • Contributing to thought-leadership campaigns and proofreading website content.
  • Automating documents and managing templates for relevant practice teams.
  • Assisting with legal and business research for client matters.
  • Supporting new legal operations projects, including project documentation and meeting attendance.

Suitable candidates for this Knowldge Management Assistant role will need the following:

  • A degree level of education, ideally in law or a similar subject area
  • An interest in the business services aspect of a law firm and the operations that support the delivery of legal services
  • Refined communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities or stakeholder needs
  • An ability to learn new tasks and systems quickly
  • A thirst for addressing and solving problems
  • A CV that demonstrates strong attention to detail and written communication skills
  • You will need to be based in or have the ability to work in Jersey
