Interim Knowledge & Information Specialist, business intelligence company

New for 2019! An international company that specialises in business intelligence and market analysis of a niche sector requires an Interim Knowledge & Information Specialist to join their small team in central London.

The role is mainly focused around managing the organisation's existing KM tools and embedding them within the business by motivating and assisting colleagues to use them while measuring their success. You will be the main global support for their social collaboration (intranet) tool Jive, providing training and advice to colleagues. You will be responsible for the administration associated with the tool as well as liaising with their IT department and the vendor around bugs and upgrades.

You will also be responsible for the Lunch and Learn programme from organising a regular line-up of presentations and marketing the events to all offices to recording presentations ensuring their accessibility to all global employees.

You will support the Information & Knowledge team with other KM initiatives e.g. Communities of Practice and Lessons Learned. In addition, you will be expected to support the Information Specialist with managing subscriptions, information enquiries and copyright advice.

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Degree educated, BA or MSc (or equivalent) in Information & Library Studies is preferred.
  • Experience in the knowledge/Information industry in a corporate/legal role.
  • Experience of managing/supporting intranets or social collaboration tools
  • Experience of Knowledge Management tools and processes
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Fluent spoken and written English with the ability to write clear and concise communications
  • Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlines
