Knowledge and Information Officer - Law - London

A leading international law firm is seeking a Corporate Knowledge and Information Officer to support its London Corporate practice. This role sits within a specialist team focused on Corporate Transactions & Advisory and Private Equity, while also providing support across other Corporate groups.

The successful candidate will be a fast learner with some previous experience in knowledge and information within the legal or professional services sector. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage internal clients are essential, alongside familiarity with knowledge systems, research and experience managing and developing knowledge collections.

This is a varied role with high levels of face-to-face interaction and collaboration across groups and practice areas. It would suit someone passionate about KM and keen to contribute to the firm’s knowledge ecosystem through knowledge sharing initiatives and training.

The primary objectives and responsibilities in this Knowledge and Information Officer role include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as primary knowledge contact for specific practice groups and products
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge and information resources
  • Delivering training and raising awareness of internal and external resources
  • Driving knowledge culture and contributing to projects
  • Responding to enquiries across subject areas and complexity

To be a suitable candidate for this role, a mix of the following is required:

  • A background in Knowledge/Research/Library/Information Services, ideally within legal or professional services
  • Familiarity with Excel, iManage, SharePoint Online, and intranets
  • Experience with online database research and knowledge collections
  • Ability to deliver tailored training and define specific practice area needs
  • Highly developed communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • A related degree or post graduate level education such as Library Science, Information Science or Law
