A global law firm has a new vacancy for an Intranet and Search Manager. Working as part of the Knowledge Systems team the Intranet and Search Manager will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational delivery and management of the firm's SharePoint intranet and search platform.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • designing and delivering an intranet and search roadmap setting a clear future vision
  • engaging and influencing partners to gain buy-in for their business needs
  • delivering intranet and search developments in line with the firm's strategic plans and objectives
  • looking at ways that technologies can enable innovative intranet and search solutions
  • building close relationships and collaboration with IT and other teams to ensure operational delivery
  • establishing policies and processes relating to content life-cycle management
  • engaging with end users driving adoption and collaborative working
  • managing the work and activities of the Intranet and Search team
  • creating and delivering training on content management and intranet and search capabilities
  • overseeing the collation, development and implementation of a consolidated intranet and search metrics programme


In order to be considered for this role candidates should have:


  • several years' experience in managing global intranets, content management and enterprise search preferably within law or professional services
  • strong communication, ownership, leadership and management skills
  • the ability to think globally whilst respecting and meeting local needs
  • experience of establishing policies and procedures to ensure day to day running of a global intranet
  • significant experience in requirements gathering, systems configuration and project/stakeholder management
  • experience with recent SharePoint versions and document management systems including Hummingbird, iManage, Opentext and NetDocs (desirable)
  • analytical thinking ability
