Intranet Analyst – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract - London or Birmingham - Law

Working pattern: Full‑time or part‑time options available

This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative corporate communications team within a leading international law firm. The firms global intranet is central to how staff access knowledge and resources, and this is a key role in keeping content accurate, well‑governed and easy to use. The position works closely with a large editor community and supports content management, enquiries, audits, reporting and continuous improvement. The position also offers the chance to contribute to wider development projects and proposed migration plans. Hybrid and flexible working options are available.

The key responsibilities of the Intranet Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development and maintenance of intranet content across office, practice and business team sites.
  • Manage day‑to‑day intranet support requests and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Support governance processes to ensure content ownership, accuracy and ongoing maintenance (e.g. starters/leavers, governance module, broken links).
  • Provide guidance to content owners and editors, including responding to queries and promoting best practice.
  • Apply intranet checklists and guidelines to maintain quality standards, templates and copyright compliance.
  • Assist with reporting, audits and analysis to improve content usage and support life‑cycle decisions.
  • Support content mapping, migration and retagging for merger‑related work.
  • Troubleshoot, test and work with IT and other teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to training materials, FAQs, editor guidance and intranet communications.

To be a suitable candidate for this Intranet Analyst role, you will need a strong mix of the following:

  • Experience working with SharePoint Online
  • Exposure to intranet content lifecycle management and governance.
  • Understanding of classification, taxonomy management and information architecture.
  • Experience in content auditing, mapping and migration.
  • Experience working with search tools, logic and analytics.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools 
  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment would be extremely beneficial 
  • Information science or information management qualification is preferred but not essential
