An international commercial law firm has an exciting new role for an Information Officer. This position is part-time (21 hours which can be carried out over 3 full days or 5 shorter days) and can be based in Manchester or Liverpool. Working as part of a small, well-respected team, you will ensure the effective supply and management of information resources and bring enthusiasm and ideas to this well established and innovative department.

Specifics include:

  • carrying out business, commercial and legal research for use in business meetings, pitches and business development
  • liaising with a broad range of champions and content owners to support and promote good KM practice
  • organising and delivering training on research techniques, information resources and services offered by the team
  • offering ideas regarding new procedures and services
  • enthusing colleagues and lawyers whilst delivering a first class information service
  • administration supporting the team and its services

In order to be considered for this role you will have:

  • Information Management qualification or similar subject and/or recent suitable experience
  • proven experience of working within a dynamic commercial environment
  • working knowledge of commercial and business information sources (including online business and legal databases)
  • demonstrable client focus with a high level of commercial acumen
  • knowledge of SharePoint and intranets would be advantageous
