Industry Strategist – Telecommunications

A telecoms industry strategist is required for a period of 12 months by an organization that works intensively with telecoms operators, vendors and related businesses. The business strives to provide thought leadership, regulatory advice, collaboration and produces a number of global industry events. The objective of the role is to utilize internal and external resources to provide industry CSO’s with general overview of the industry, the opportunities that exist and future trends.

The primary objectives and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working directly with CSO’s of the largest industry operators to provide advice and guidance
  • Leveraging internal/external resources and a leadership network to form a general perspective of the industry
  • Unparalleled access to key people within telco operators, software firms and vendors
  • Undertaking a number of concurrent and cross-functional projects 
  • Assuming the role of subject matter expert and presenting at industry events
  • Managing a complex network of internal and external stakeholders

To be suitable for the role, candidates require the following expertise and experience:

  • An in-depth understanding of telco industry, and almost certainly a thought leader
  • A track record of producing insightful content and presenting to industry leaders
  • A strong understanding of data, particularly financial statements and related documents
  • Managing or leveraging internal external resources
