A leading international law firm has an exciting, newly created role for a Head of Research and Insight. They are looking for an engaging and talented individual to evolve their already successful research function into a more proactive business research and intelligence unit. Working alongside Business Development, Comms, Pitching, Pricing and Innovation teams the individual will have the opportunity to re-shape the current research team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • designing and delivering a 'best-in class' research function
  • identifying and developing new propositions with broader stakeholders
  • spotting trends and providing actionable insights to the firm
  • understanding the firm's data sources 
  • working with the business to support strategic planning activity
  • proactively engaging across all practice areas to identify opportunities and grow and develop new and existing client relationships
  • supporting the development of client targeting activity
  • working alongside the pitch team and the wider business to optimise responses
  • supporting thought leadership and campaign planning

In order to be considered for this role the following attributes are essential or desirable for this role:

  • previous law firm or professional services experience
  • commercial acumen
  • numerical and ideally statistical fluency
  • the ability to synthesise and summarise complex data
  • understanding of data, data organisation and data management
  • the ability to draw on and use internal and external data sources
  • the ability to build and develop relationships across the firm at all levels
  • willingness to use initiative and make challenges
  • team and change management skills
  • a proactive leader who is able to share information and contribute ideas
  • display professionalism and integrity
  • degree educated
  • supporting the development of client targeting activity
