Senior Business Development Executive – Compliance and Risk

A specialist in analytics and financial research has an opportunity for a successful senior level sales/business development professional with quantitative modelling skills to join their team in London.  This is a senior level role in whichthe successful candidate will effectly own a business development function to develop both new opportunities, and furthering business opportunities within an impressive portfolio of financial services institutions. The role will be home based with considerable client facing work in London and focus of the role will be to develop the firms compliance and risk customer portfolio.

In this role the primary objectives and responsibilities of the Business Development Executive include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and developing opportunities within financial services including investment bank, private equity, insurance and commercial banking arena
  • Mapping potential and existing client firms to identify the key decision makers for compliance and risk
  • Developing an expertise in understanding the needs of clients, and proposing solutions
  • Nurturing new relationships and developing ongoing relationships within firms
  • Presenting, networking, developing RFP opportunities and meetings will be a key part of the role
  • Leveraging the marketing function to underpin and support client engagement activities

Suitable candidates for this Business Development Executive requirement will need the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar senior business development, sales, client executive or account management role, preferably gained in the advisory, analytics or market intelligence sector
  • A demonstrable track record of successfully onboarding new clients, furthering existing relationships and selling high into businesses
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, networking and presenting skills
  • A degree in mathematics, statistics, economics or engineering related discipline
  • Quantitative modelling experience using tools such as Excel, Python or VBA, or previous experience conversing extensively with the analyst community
  • Selling analytics solutions would be particularly desirable
