Business Analyst - Events Technology

A Business Analyst is required as part of a technology team that delivers several large-scale (75,000+ attendees) and global events on an annual basis. This role focuses on consulting around the integration of technology systems and processes that are key to the delivery of large events. The business is a technology industry body.

In this Business Analyst role, the following are the key objectives and tasks:

  • Identify business requirements around event technology and the creation of functional specifications for hand over to technical teams
  • Working on requirements specifically around event technology such as payment gateways, ticketing, registration and supporting digital platforms
  • Partnering internally with IT project teams and part of an internal team of 8
  • Extensive internal and external stakeholder management 
  • Designing process maps, workflows, use cases and data flow diagrams
  • Working within recognized frameworks and as part of a full lifecycle project

To be a suitable candidate for this Business Analyst role, the following experience and skills are required:

  • Experience in a similar Business Analyst role, ideally with some exposure to large-scale events or events technology
  • Software skills that include MS Excel to intermediate/advanced level, Visio and MS Project
  • Ideally, some experience operating as a Project Manager or managing projects
  • Outstanding stakeholder, resource and vendor management skills
  • A strong understanding of the implications of information security and GDPR compliance
  • Very strong documentation skills
  • Prepared to undertake global travel
  • Ideally a degree or related industry qualifications
