Over the past year we have helped a number of professional services firms recruit Senior Leaders responsible for Knowledge Management. Interestingly, the reporting lines have been varied in most cases, some have reported into business development, a Managing/Senior Partner or human resources. However, we have noticed that a number of roles are now being aligned to IT and legal tech. I would be interested to know, where your KM function is positioned within your firm and ideally, where you feel knowledge management should be positioned to maximise its potential.
