Tuesday 20th November 2018

This event is free to attend for all CILIP Leaders Network Members and CILIP Organisational Members, but individual and non-member are also invited. The event brings together employers, managers and leaders from across the information, knowledge and library profession to discuss the future skills of our sector. The programme includes two excellent keynote speakers: Lisa Gray, Senior Co-Design Manager, JISC who will explain how the JISC Discovery Tool can pinpoint digital capabilities in your organisation and introduce the Library and Information Role Profile. These practical tools will help you plan and develop the future workforce. In the afternoon sessionTerry Corby, Growth & Change Leader will examine the impact of Automation and AI and the opportunities for the future of the profession.

You will have the the opportunity to apply these learning outcomes to your own organisation in two workshop sessions following each presentation, and get involved in an open forum at the end of the day. There is also an opportunity to hear from CILIP CEO Nick Poole who will be updating attendees on the CILIP Employer Partner scheme, higlighting CILIP's partnership with HEE, our work with Prison Library providers, our collaboration with Public Library Authorities & Libraries Connected and working with KPMG.

The event closes with a networking drinks reception which will provide an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, build your networks and develop best practice with colleagues from across the whole profession.
