Responsibilities

• Lead strategic AI and innovation initiatives across legal practices and client programmes
• Identify and develop opportunities to transform legal services through automation, data, and process redesign
• Support the delivery of client-facing innovation projects and contribute to pitches and demonstrations
• Represent the firm at external events and industry forums on legal technology topics
• Manage complex innovation projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders and workstreams from design to deployment
• Advise partners, lawyers, and senior staff on the application of AI and legal technology solutions
• Drive change management activities to ensure successful adoption and integration of new tools
• Evaluate emerging legal technologies, vendors, and market developments to inform strategic decisions
• Contribute to governance frameworks, monitor solution quality, and measure success via relevant metrics

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in legal technology, legal innovation, AI, or related fields
• Minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent in any subject
• Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders such as lawyers and partners to implement innovative solutions
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms like Harvey, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, or similar
• Strong understanding of AI use cases within legal services, including research, drafting, knowledge management, and automation
• Experience leading stakeholder engagement, training, and change management activities
• Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
• Commercial awareness of legal service delivery models and processes
• A genuine interest in emerging technologies and their application in professional environments

This is the first dedicated data specialist hire within the Knowledge & Data function and offers ownership and the opportunity to influence strategy from the outset. You’ll work closely with Partners, Knowledge Lawyers and Business Services teams to identify and deliver data-led improvements across the firm.

The key objectives and responsibilities in this Senior Data Advisor role will include, but not be limited to:

•    Identifying opportunities to use data, AI and automation to improve legal services
•    Analysing data from across the firm (clients, matters, finance, knowledge systems) to generate insight
•    Designing and building legal knowledge data structures and AI-ready datasets
•    Developing dashboards and reports to track usage, impact and performance
•    Translating complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations
•    Supporting data governance, quality and wider data strategy initiatives
•    Collaborating with stakeholders across IT, risk, finance and marketing
•    Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and supporting innovation across the firm

To be a suitable candidate for this Senior Data Advisor role, a strong mix of the following is required:

•    Experience in data, analytics or AI within a professional services or corporate environment
•    Strong technical skills (e.g. Python, SQL, working with structured and unstructured data)
•    Hands-on exposure to AI tools and concepts (e.g. large language models, data platforms)
•    Experience building reports or dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or similar)

A UK strategy consultancy with a global reach has a newly created opportunity within their London office for a Research Manager to join the firm and head up a team of 3 Researchers. Within this function, this extremely well-resourced Research team is covering a number of sectors including Industrials, Life Sciences, Consumer and Financial Services and the primary objectives of the Research Manager will be the delivery and continuous improvement of the research service, the management of budgets and vendors, line management, forging relationships with key stakeholders and to advise around how technology, in particular AI, can be harnessed for efficiencies within research. It is a role that would be most suited to an established research leader from a professional services or similiar background and ideally someone that is familiar with managing relationships with a geographically dispersed team and stakeholders.

The primary objectives and responsibilities of the Research Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Managing and developing a research service covering topics such as Industrials, Life Sciences, Consumer and Financial Services
• Setting and managing the research budget, tracking expenditure and cost-control
• Managing the relationships, purchasing and renewals with multiple vendors such as MergerMarket, Bloomberg, GlobalData and multiple others
• Seeking out opportunities to leverage technology and in particular AI
• Managing a team of 3 that are based across the UK and Europe
• Forging and maintaining relationship with key stakeholders and stakeholder groups including Partners in the firm
• Oversee the delivery of research training and the promotion of a self service culture
• Operating at both a strategic and operational level, including supporting on enquiries or research projects.

To be a suitable candidate for this Research Manager requirement, candidates will need a strong mix of the following:

• Experience leading or managing a team of research or information professionals in a professional services or similar environment
• An ability to operate as a subject matter expert and to mentor less experienced researchers
• Experience with budgets, expenditure and cost-control
• A strong knowledge of business research resources such as Bloomberg, Orbis, GlobalData and MergerMarket
• Previous experience managing vendor relationships, subscriptions and renewals
• An appreciation of the role of technology, and in particular AI solutions, in the research sector
