Senior TMT Analyst – Emerging and Digital Technologies

A Senior TMT Analyst is required by the London office of a strategy firm that operates globally and is a leader in TMT market intelligence, advisory and research. This is a role that would be very well suited to someone with a fairly broad TMT background, that is eager to embrace unfamiliar topics and emerging technologies. The role offers considerable autonomy, particularly in terms to setting a research agenda.

In this role the successful candidate will have the following objectives and responsibilities:

  • Setting a research agenda around new and emerging technologies particularly around mobile and telco
  • Managing research programmes from inception to the production of insightful and thought provoking content
  • Utilizing internal resources to collect quantitative and qualitative research data
  • Working on a mix of bespoke and syndicated research projects
  • Supporting BD and Sales functions that work with industry leading firms and vendors in the TMT space
  • Managing and mentoring more junior team members
  • Covering sectors such as Mobile financial services, Commerce, Advertising, Emerging techs (Ai, blockchain, VR/AR) and / or core mobile sectors

Suitable candidates will require the following experience and skills:

  • An established Analyst aligned to the TMT sector, ideally with exposure to one or more emerging technology topics
  • A track record of running concurrent research projects and producing insightful content and thought leadership pieces
  • Developing outputs such as forecasts, models and reports
  • A capable presenter and the ability to operate effectively in customer or client facing situations
  • Working with a geographically dispersed internal network of resources and stakeholders
  • A team player and someone that enjoys mentoring more junior staff, particularly those at the start of their career
  • A degree would be desirable
