A leading independent global professional services firm is looking for a Senior Research Analyst to join their growing team.  In this role, you will provide a range of research support functions across the whole firm. The role involves working directly with client facing staff to deliver financial benchmarking, market and industry research, company research as well as macro-economic research and analysis. This research supports thought leadership, business development, and on occasions, in-depth client work. This role requires the keen ability to multi-task in order to deliver a wide range of research requests, manage research pipelines for yourself and other third-party research providers that the firm uses, help with research product evaluations, and train staff on research techniques and best practice.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Fulfill a wide range of varied research requests by interacting directly with the firm’s stakeholders from Analysts to Managing Directors. You will engage in the full life-cycle of the request from the scoping phase to delivering the final output.
  • Conducting financial analysis on a range of companies to understand their financial health.
  • Analysing country and company data, and commodity pricing to provide detailed financial and industry insight documents that are used to deliver content for clients.
  • Providing data on various operational benchmarks, company strategy, and company insights.
  • Create and support “watchlists” to help various teams with their business development activities.
  • Help manage the research request pipeline through Salesforce.com.
  • Collaborate with the team to prioritise, coordinate and project manage research requests that are sent to third-party research partners.
  • Promote and provide education on how to leverage and engage with the research function.
  • Work collaboratively with counterparts to drive a “one-firm” approach to research and be willing to pitch in where needed.

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Related work experience in a similar role for at least 3 – 5 years
  • Excellent research experience in a similar role with a professional services, consulting firm, or other financial organisation
  • Good project management skills, able to manage a research request pipeline, and multi-task
  • Strong experience of research databases such as Eikon, Capital IQ, Factiva, APQC, Orbis
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (particular ability with PPT presentations and Pivot Tables in Excel)
  • Demonstrable financial research, financial analysis, and financial markets/trends knowledge
  • Outstanding customer relationship management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
