A global law firm has an opportunity for a Research Librarian to work on an initial 3 month contract which could be extended to 6 months thereafter. Working as part of the Knowledge and Research team you will be contributing to the effective and efficient delivery of Information services to lawyers firm-wide.

Specific responsibilities include:
·    carrying out legal and business research using a range of online and printed sources and assisting fee earners with their own search strategies
·    contributing to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures and promoting the service
·    supporting the firm by acting as a liaison to a sector lead and delivering bespoke research
·    developing and delivering training to all staff
·    assisting with the maintenance and evaluation of online resources and participating in trials to introduce new products
·    assisting with the selection, acquisition and cataloguing of new resources
·    liaising with vendors regarding negotiating contracts and procuring new sources
·    representing the team in meetings
·    contributing to knowledge and research projects as needed
In order to be considered for this role candidates should have:
·    a postgraduate qualification in Library/Information Management (or equivalent)
·    experience of working within a legal information or business information environment
·    expertise in delivering training on legal information resources
·    confident research skills
·    experience of using automated library management systems
