Newly created role! An international law, firm headquartered in New York requires a Professional Support Lawyer – Restructuring to establish a Professional Support function for their London restructuring team. This newly created role will support the Restructuring team in the London office in all areas of knowledge for the team. This is a part-time role for 3 days per week.
Main responsibilities include:
- Creating, improving and managing precedent documents and restructuring advice
- Tracking legislative changes and development of restructuring tools in different jurisdictions
- Updating and writing team guidance notes
- Collating current awareness and sector hot topics
- Organizing ongoing team training, including vetting of training materials, writing/updating training materials, presenting sector critical training
- Managing and building knowhow bank
- Supporting the team on ad hoc queries and work process improvement initiatives (firm wide and team wide)
To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:
- Experience as a PSL is helpful but not essential
- 7 years post qualification restructuring experience
- A proactive approach
- Self-starter with a can do attitude
- Sound judgment
- Strong commercial awareness
- A strong desire to offer first class advice and service to the team
- Have a strong interest in the black letter law, excellent technical skills, and an eye for detail
