Legal Technology and Innovation Manager - Law

A Legal Technology and Innovation specialist is required to assume a leadership role within an international law firm that has an HQ in London. The role requires someone with broad knowledge of legal and innovation technology to lead on support and development internally, to be a mentor to less experienced colleagues and to focus heavily on client facing projects. 

The key objectives and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Client facing legal technology and innovation projects - requirements gathering, solution design, prototyping and delivery
  • Leading the support and continuous development of internal solutions
  • Mentoring and line managing less experienced members of the team
  • Seeking out opportunities to embrace emerging technologies and horizon scanning
  • Developing a culture that embraces legal technology internally, upskilling and providing a framework to train stakeholders
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects

The successful candidate will require the following experience and skills:

  • Experience in a similar leadership or senior role within legal technology and innovation, preferably gained in a law or professional services firm
  • Demonstrable experience winning business from clients
  • A deep understanding of technologies such as Contract Express, HighQ, Luminance, Kira or Bryter
  • A strong track record in managing successful full lifecycle projects
  • An ability to lead and mentor less experienced team members
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to work with clients as a subject matter expert, a trusted adviser and consultant
  • Developing a firms capability in legal technology to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Ideally, a relevant qualification such a related degree. However, candidates qualified by experience will also be considered
