Knowledge Services Assistant – Law
An international law firm has an exciting opportunity for someone that is early on in their knowledge or information career to join their team and play a supporting role within a busy Knowledge Services function. This is a role that would be particularly well suited to someone that has recently graduated within Library Science or someone who is at the start of their career as an information professional.
The responsibilities and objectives of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting Knowledge Lawyers both in the UK and overseas
- Responsibility for maintaining, updating and developing knowledge materials
- Collecting knowledge materials at the request of lawyers
- Maintaining and updating directories of referrals on the CRM and SharePoint
- Working closely with Knowledge Managers to assist in the production of practice specific newsletters and current awareness
- Providing an administrative support service to Knowledge Managers
To be a suitable candidate for the role, the following skills and experience are required:
- Some previous experience in a similar knowledge based role would be highly desirable, but is not essential
- A Library Science, Law or Information related degree or similar qualification
- Demonstrable organizational skills, an ability to multitask and to manage conflicting priorities
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- A strong grasp of the primary applications in MS Office. Experience with SharePoint would be a distinct benefit
