Knowledge Manager – Newcastle
An exciting new role has arisen within a highly respected organisation based in the North East.
Working as a knowledge manager the successful candidate will work with several departments across the organisation to help leverage and capture the firm’s expertise more effectively.
Seek out stakeholders (usually senior technical staff) and understand and capture knowledge from their teams.
Advise on systems and intranets and ensure SharePoint features such as search work effectively
- Capturing and organising external expertise for reuse
- Editing and managing content from internal experts for reuse internally and externally
- Stakeholder management with department heads to guide a fit for purpose KM strategy
- Working with Intranet (SharePoint) team to guide and plan systems improvements
- Organise and maintain internal content
- Responding to enquiries and research request from internal stakeholders
- Managing renewals to a number of research databases
- Current awareness bulletins for special interest groups internally
In order to be suitable candidates must have:
- Experience in a knowledge management, particularly engaging senior stakeholders on technical subject matter
- Experience working with SharePoint
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Good editorial experience
- Ability to use of online research databases
