A leading, prestigious law firm requires a Knowledge Management Assistant to provide comprehensive, day to day administrative and project support to the firm’s central KM team and championing the team and its role in meeting the firm's strategy. This is a varied role with high levels of autonomy and responsibility, allowing you to get involved with all aspects of KM both technology and non-technology based. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Taking and compiling minutes during meetings
  • Assisting with diary management and arranging meetings
  • Assisting in the budgeting process
  • Expenses and invoicing administration
  • Constructing/formatting KM communications
  • Developing and maintaining intranet pages and KM materials/resources
  • Key point of contact for the knowledge database
  • Working with Head of KM and the IT department in the management of the firm’s knowledge database
  • Managing the firm’s membership database
  • Supporting the Head of KM (and wider KM team) with any project need
  • Undertaking a supporting role when exploring new legal technologies/KM solutions and training programmes
  • Liaising with external suppliers/providers
  • Providing additional admin support for the learning management system training recordings database

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Confident user of IT systems including Microsoft Office
  • Aptitude and interest in technology
  • Experience or an interest in knowledge and information related work
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant area (preferred but not essential) and/or proven experience of administrative/KM support in a commercial environment
  • Good command of the English language
  • Good communication skills and a confident approach
  • Proactive and prepared to use initiative
  • A quick learner
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, in an autonomous and independent way, taking ownership of tasks and projects
  • High degree of commercial awareness with the ability to contribute to the wider business and the knowledge agenda
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Team player with an enthusiastic manner
