Knowledge Engineer
A Knowledge Engineer / Legal Technologist is required by an international law firm. The primary objective of the role is to support and to build custom solutions internally and for clients relating to document automation, collaboration, decision making and document extraction. This is a role that could be based either in London or Liverpool.
The core responsibilities and objectives of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Working with clients and internal stakeholders to define requirements and to build customised legal technology solutions
- Being the first point of contact for support services relating to legal technologies such as HighQ, Contract Express and machine learning
- Acting as an advocate for legal and innovation technology within the firm
- Working in a role that encompasses a mix of reactive support and contributing to multiple ongoing projects
- Representing the firm at legal technology and innovation technology events
To be a suitable for this role, candidates require the following experience and skills:
- Some previous exposure to innovation and legal technology such as HighQ, Contract Express or AI/Machine learning tools
- Ideally, experience gained in a similar Legal Technologist, Knowledge Engineering or Innovation Technology focused role
- The ability to apply a strong logical approach when solving technology related issues and problems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A passion for legal, knowledge and innovation technology
- Demonstrable skills in learning new technologies and managing a steep learning curve
- Ideally, a degree or related law or technology qualification
