Mostly Working From Home! Professional services firm requires an Intranet & Information Systems Manager to take responsibility for the provision of an intranet (based on SharePoint) and for managing information management aspects of SharePoint and MS Teams, working closely with the IT department. You will also promote the storage and sharing of business information and collaborative working through the provision of appropriate tools in M365, in particular SharePoint and MS Teams.  This role is also responsible for managing one member of staff (Information Services Analyst). NB. This role is mostly working from home with a requirement to attend the London office once a month

Main responsibilities include:

  • Provides and develops an intranet for the firm, for internal communication and document storage.
  • Reviews usage of intranet and ensures sound processes are in place for staff to understand where documents and information should be stored.
  • Promotes staff engagement of intranet and document management tools.
  • To assist with the design and development of an extranet to enable document and information sharing with strategic partners.
  • Understand and applies M365 tools – in particular SharePoint and MS Teams tools for information storage, governance, sharing, and collaborative working.
  • Participates in Agile Scrum events.
  • Collaborates with departments/teams to understand and translate business requirements into appropriate solutions.
  • Works with IT to ensure site permissions are monitored and appropriate and provides reporting on permissions.
  • SharePoint sites/site collection creation and provision of sound site navigation and information design.
  • Oversees visual design and theme for the intranet, and intranet content.
  • Monitors intranet analytics and provides analysis to help drive improvement.
  • Provides user training as required.
  • Provision of 2nd line support for SharePoint and MS Teams on-prem and online.

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Proven track record of managing an intranet in a complex organisation.
  • Excellent knowledge of SharePoint Online and MS Teams. Has some real-world experience of managing an M365 implementation for information storage and collaboration.
  • Project management skills, with preferably a knowledge of Agile methodology.
  • Proven experience in digital communications with above average written skills.
  • Evidence of being able to quickly understand the key features of systems.
  • Evidence of being able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of M365 compliance centre.
  • Familiarity with document/information management, taxonomies, and classification in M365.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection legislation and regulations (GDPR).
  • Influencing and negotiating and relationship building skills.
  • Experience of making presentations, producing reports, and conducting training sessions.
  • Management experience.
