The successful candidate has the opportunity to join the firm at an exciting time as our client implement their ground up Innovative Technology strategy.
They will have an understanding of legal practice, how lawyers work and the needs of law firm clients. They will be able to display the ability to promote the benefits of Innovative Legal Technology to our lawyers and clients. The ability to identify and work collaboratively with team leaders and key stakeholders in Knowledge and in the rest of the business is essential to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing a plan for Implementing the Innovative Technology strategy
- Promote the use of Innovative Technology within the firm by identifying opportunities for using Innovative Technology to add value to client relationships, increase efficiency and win work
- A strong and enthusiastic advocate for the use of Innovative Technology
- Manage projects and tasks in direct response to business needs within the firm
- Play a lead role in developing dialogues with clients around the use of Innovative Technology as solutions to business problems
- Supervise the work of the Trainee Legal Technologist and develop them within their role
- Act as a subject matter expert within the firm, monitoring the market for new tools and developments and advising the firm on future investment and ensuring value from existing tools and software
- Manage relationships with suppliers and the Innovative Technology elements of the Knowledge budget
- Work collaboratively with Learning & Development to develop a training programme around Innovation and Innovative Technology for lawyers and others in the firm
- Work collaboratively with IT to develop practical solutions for internal (and client-facing) business issues
Technical Skills:
- A clear aptitude for working with new and emerging technologies and in particular, familiarity with Contract Express (and coding), DocuSign, Luminance and HighQ
- Previous experience in a legal technology role or innovative technology role or project management role within a law firm
