Information Assistant - Law 

One of the leading international law firms that is headquartered in London has an opportunity for an Information Assistant to join a highly regarded research and information function. This is a role that would be extremely well suited to a LIS or MLIS graduate with some experience in a similar setting. This role would provide an excellent platform in which to start a career in legal research and libraries and offers the opportunity to work in a large and experienced team as well as serving multiple locations.

In this role the successful candidate will have the following objectives, responsibilities and opportunities:

  • Assisting in the collection, management and use of the firms information assets
  • Library and collections management 
  • Information and resources procurement 
  • Research and current awareness
  • The provision of training on resources and inductions for new starters

The successful applicant will need the following experience and skills:

  • A degree qualification, ideally in Library and Information Management / Science
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Preferably, some experience in a similar role but this isn't a pre-requisite 
  • Experience with databases and other related IT tools 
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities
