Information Assistant - Law
One of the leading international law firms that is headquartered in London has an opportunity for an Information Assistant to join a highly regarded research and information function. This is a role that would be extremely well suited to a LIS or MLIS graduate with some experience in a similar setting. This role would provide an excellent platform in which to start a career in legal research and libraries and offers the opportunity to work in a large and experienced team as well as serving multiple locations.
In this role the successful candidate will have the following objectives, responsibilities and opportunities:
- Assisting in the collection, management and use of the firms information assets
- Library and collections management
- Information and resources procurement
- Research and current awareness
- The provision of training on resources and inductions for new starters
The successful applicant will need the following experience and skills:
- A degree qualification, ideally in Library and Information Management / Science
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Preferably, some experience in a similar role but this isn't a pre-requisite
- Experience with databases and other related IT tools
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities
