Head of Client Facing Digital Products - Law

One of the worlds largest and most prestigious law firms is seeking a Head of Client Facing Digital Products, which is aligned to the Knowledge function. This role works closely with the Global Head of Knowledge Management and a product steering team as well as holding responsibility for the management of a small team of experts. It is a position in which the successful candidate will most likely have at least 7-10 years PQE. It will oversee product development, brand development and the management of technology providers for a suite of digital based products that harvests the expertise of the firm and helps clients to navigate the most complex and pertinent legal challenges in the world today.

Key accountabilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing a product development strategy to include the conception and development of new products and continued development of existing products.
  • Working in partnership with multiple stakeholders including Product Development, Business Development, Lawyers, Marketing teams and clients
  • Defining the value proposition of each product and identifying the key target markets
  • Engaging with clients to track and record feedback
  • The oversight of multiple concurrent project streams and conflicting priorities
  • Working with internal teams to identify new opportunities, develop new product ideas and to define the processes to bring those products to market
  • Building and developing brand awareness by identifying the relevant channels and working with marketing functions to develop materials for pitches and campaigns
  • Acting as a product ambassador at relevant events, meetings and demonstrations
  • Managing a considerable budget, line managing a team and managing the vendor relationships

To be suitable for this role, suitable candidates will require the following qualifications, expertise and experience:

  • A lawyer with at least 7-10 years post qualified experience
  • Experience within a similar role developing and delivering online products, preferably for a global/international law or professional services firm
  • An expert in the relevant technology stacks to cover marketing, content, information capture and analytics
  • A demonstrable understanding of the most pertinent legal challenges that businesses face in the current economic and political climate
  • An expert in client, vendor, project and team management
  • The ability to influence stakeholders including Lawyers and Partners
  • The ability to leverage internal expertise and resources in a matrixed multinational firm

Please note that the salary for this role will be commensurate with experience and in line with 7-10 years PQE
