Business Researcher - Law - Bristol
An extremely longstanding and international law firm that is based out of the UK has a requirement for a Business Researcher to join their Knowledge team that is based out of Bristol. This role will support a Senior Researcher and will play a key role in the development, winning and retention of clients and business opportunities. There will be considerable focus around transformation drivers of digitalisation, decarbonisation and urban dynamics. This could be a role that might suit someone that is fairly early in their information/research career or someone with a little more experience, looking for a change.
In this Business Researcher role, the key objectives and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Undertaking business research around sectors, companies and markets aligned to transformation drivers of digitalisation, decarbonisation and urban dynamics
- Research activities will include an element of value add, including tailored company profiles, overviews and analysis of specific sectors/markets
- Developing the current awareness services of the firm in conjunction with needs and requirements of key stakeholders
- Assisting in the identification and cataloguing of potential prospects and emerging opportunities
- Building relationships with the key internal stakeholders which includes business development, marketing & sales and fee earners
- Driving internal internal engagement with the KM function
- Manage and develop relationships with information resource providers
Suitable candidates for this Business Researcher role will need the following experience and skills:
- Some experience in a similar research orientated role.
- The ability to structure research task in a methodical manner and select the most appropriate and trusted information sources
- Delivering research outcomes that distil large amounts of information into a structured format that adds value and context
- Strong relationship building, stakeholder management and preferably presenting (written and oral) skills
- An ability to manage conflicting priorities, stakeholder needs and research projects
- Strong organisational skills
- A related degree would be extremely beneficial, but candidates qualified by relevant experience will be equally considered
