£50,000 plus commission

Exciting opportunity to join an established provider of business and market research products and services. Our client's UK team operates flexibly with several days a month in the office in London.

Position Overview

This is a proactive outbound new business generation position. As a Business Development

Manager, you will identify new business opportunities with companies that our client currently does not work with. The goal is to identify and contract with companies that can become long-term research subscribers.

Job Responsibilities

Research and identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services.

Identifying new and imaginative ways of reaching prospects.

Working through a consultative sales approach including cold calling to secure appointments, gathering information on customer needs, positioning research solutions, overcoming customer objections, negotiating pricing and contracting the sale.

Create promotional strategies and activities with marketing.

Attend seminars, conferences and events to network and build prospect base.

Accurately forecast and analyse your business to develop the sales and marketing strategy.

Meet and exceed revenue objectives and relevant KPI’s.



Minimum 3 years of sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment.

PC proficiency in sales-related applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Salesforce, etc)

Some experience with knowledge-related products such as market research, events/conferences or data
