Backend Developer – Ruby on Rails, API, Zapier
A Backend Developer is required by an extremely successful b2b social network / community network SAAS platform to enterprise customers. This role is borne out of increased pressure on the development team due to company growth and this is a very good time to join this firm due to imminent Series A funding, and equity forming a part of the additional benefits for the role.
In this Backend/Ruby Developer role, the successful applicant will be primarily undertaking API integration focused work. There will be considerable interaction with customers and their technical teams for requirements gathering around systems integration. Internally the role interfaces with a team of full stack, front end developers, designers and the CTO.
From a technical perspective, the role is primarily a role that is integration focused works with Ruby on Rails, EmberJS, Zapier and Twilio.
Suitable candidates for this role will need to have the following experience and skills:
- Ideally at mid-level in development terms
- Comfortable in a role with a considerable proportion of customer interaction
- Strong Ruby development skills and ideally experience/exposure to EmberJS
- Full lifecycle API experience including build outs, improvements and version control
- Experience with platforms including Zapier, and ideally Twilio
- Experience gained in an agency environment would be very compatible with this role
